Respect Nick. When this is over you will have to tell me what if any orgs you have played in on Discord. I did it once before this to try and get my legs for all this and it was overwhelming, but not 1/10th as tough as Stranded. I think I told Dean/Aaron/Jack and now I wish I would of kept my mouth shut.

Dean, it was you and I and maybe Aaron talking about some possible returning players. Missy was going on and on and on about finding coins in the server, crushing idol clues and I was basically shaking my cell phone hoping some stranded coin would fall out. How did you collect the coins in the server? What did they look like?
That was actually one thing that caused a bit of paranoia with you. It didn't affect me with other people who have said they played games before, but for some reason at merge me and Aaron got pretty spooked when we compared notes about you telling us you played games before :dunno:

I never collected coins. I won them in immunity challenges, that's it. I hope StrandedCoin never returns if I ever come back for another season, I actually hated it so much that I got on a "currency" season
I found coins hidden once, in the campfire post where all of our avatars are. Twas nice to find some but yah I'm also not a coin fan, especially with it being the tiebreaker tonight but whatever :dunno:

I feel like Trump-coloured tribe was where the coin action was, I don't think most people on our tribe cared about coins (until suddenly the disadvantages came lol).

I think I even said in the Episode 00 thread how much I hated this coin twist going forward.

I knew it would be, I just need to learn to shut the fuck up. Shut the fuck up, say it again. I told you all I went early and played a loyal game which was half true. I won, but was loyal as fuck. When you read back in my confessional some day, I tried to take that into this game, but that only lasted to the swap.

When we thought it was all your fault the Alison plan didn't work, we remembered saying you played a loyal game right to the end for your previous games, and it threw so much stuff out the window right there for you since it was contradictory as fuck.

I have a feeling all of our games changed at the swap though; well, most people anyway.

The merge is when this game got real for me, before that i felt in control but never again after the merge did i ever feel in control at all, my own fault but i prioritized social game over strategy, even though everyone thought i was playing the best strategic game, i was really just being social.

The Davie vote right before the swap is what got me to change up my game. I knew the girls had something going and were the reason Christian stayed instead so when we got to the swap, I immediately was ready to work with my new tribe and why I went after both you and Aaron. It's crazy to think about what little things could have changed and made the game completely different

I think people look at your social game as your strategy, since people will feel comfortable with you after talking a while and it might evolve into becoming allies or something. That's how my alliance viewed you and John actually: You were the social powerhouse connecting with everyone in the frontlines, while John was the head of the snake strategizing everything from behind, making you two a powerful duo and that's why you were considered targets. Plus Kara and Ang*lina to make your Poroto foursome that was super-solid tight.

I also think for me the merge was when I started to lose a bit of control. I mean, the only vote I actually wanted to happen that did happen was Dan, and even then it was unanimous. I did vote for Missy to go out yeah, but she wasn't my #1 choice at that moment to go I think, plus I don't think I was the one leading the charge for that vote? For some reason the whole day of Missy's TC is a blur to me.

Jack I knew had a few connections to Poroto still, and Tommy was suspect too, but Nick was where the real problem was. He made himself my blind spot, and I think for my entire alliance actually.

Because we had the majority in new Miombo (fuck you Messy M*ssy) and we could afford to sacrifice Karishma and Jack, I thought our pre-swap alliance was solid still. So even after WOB was made, I was still thinking in the back of my mind that this would only be temporary, and I'd use all info you gave about the John clan to us and then our pre-swap alliance would get back together for a steamroll. It did help your trust with me though when you told me and Aaron some things I suspected that you confirmed, like the girls working together (I saw Alison and Kara on all the time and thought they have to be working together, especially that Black Widow alliance since I knew none of the Miombo girls could have done it).

That all changed when Elizabeth got voted out. She wasn't just an alliance member but my #1 in this game, so that was a drastic game-changing moment for me, I even had to make an audio confessional to vent haha. From that moment on, I saw my future was likely with :pop: now and we would work together. This became further cemented on the merged tribe; almost immediately when I met the rest of the gang and regrouped with my ex-Miombo people, I knew it was us 4 to the end (until you know, Nick).

Definitely interesting to see how this game changes you. I think everyone can point to a moment where we say "if only this one thing didn't happen then..."

Like my brain didnt work like that, I asked the people i was close with who we could agree on to take out and then went to work talking with others, so even if i made it to the end i dont think i could have won because i wasnt a powerhouse i just did a lot of talking

But that's just it, you went to work with talking. You're really good at conversations and talking with people. Even if you weren't high on strategy, you were a social powerhouse, and that's what you excel in.

I wish my plans in the beginning went through and we got Alison or Angelina out because I called them out right away. Would be neat to see where things would be if that had come to fruition. I was so pissed about the flakes that I went ahead and voted Alison anyway. That's where that vote came from Ali. The one after Lysol. It was me...

The entire situation was insane especially since we had such an easy decision by voting for Christian yet Davie and Alison kept getting brought up.

I still can’t believe that was what lit the fuse and blew up my game with Carl since I was the most vocal of the Christian should leave crowd.

None of that happens for me without you haha. And when I shifted my allegiances more to my 2.0 tribe, it's why I saw myself going further with them than you.

But yes Alison, your social game was too good. If you made it to the end, you had legit one of the best shots to win this season. RIP

Such a crazy vote in retrospect lol and I only lost my trust for you when everything happened with Jessica, specifically her loud whisper and the idol info she told me about you. When we swapped, was I involved in your post-merge plans and if so, what were they? I am curious to know what you Poroto people were thinking during that swap

Also to the previous page’s comments, I’ve done something semi similar to this before, but I’d never even heard of discord until we had to interview. Doubt I’ll ever have time to play another one of these again after I’m back in the office when quarantine is over, but I’m interested to hear more about how it works on discord.

As for how I ended up signing up? Honestly, still have no idea. No regrets though.
